Ted Baker SS14

I was lucky enough to catch the live stream of the Ted Baker SS14 show. The live stream was shown on the Ted Baker blog and can still be seen here

Opening with a blast of Figaro and the stage set like a circus big top it was clear this was to be no ordinary fashion show. When Ted Baker puts on a fashion show it’s more than clothes and models it’s a colour explosion spectacular.

A donut catwalk saw the show begin with a blank canvas of white detailing on white featuring cute one pieces alongside simple shifts with stunning embellished necklines.

From this we saw pops of pastel leading into more mouth-watering fruity shades, luxourious prints and flashes of neon festooned over casual bomber jackets, sheath dresses, smart separates and stunning floor length floaty gowns.

And here’s one for the boys! This collection sports shirts patterned with inspiration from Marrakech.
An array of coloured trousers featuring tones of marine and terracotta rolled up to show off matching lace ups adorned the catwalk, whilst bold coloured lines brightened the edges of crisp white.

Never to shy away from colour and sparkle Ted Baker has produced another stunning collection. I’ve always been a Ted Baker fan and I definitely think I need a few pieces from this collection to add a massive colour pop to my Spring/Summer wardrobe.

The pastels & layered florals, the white on white with hint of mint green with is perfect inspiration for my the project I am looking at in textiles- a trend for spring/summer 2014- Future Feminine. “white on white, a cleaned-up flower motif is an important in these lacy guipures, summer devores or white on white prints. ” “Feminine, clear tones are centred around shades of white, bubble-gum, pale peach, , fuchsia & mint green combine with aluminium, lavender grey & black”.
